Q: What is a magnetic pole sensor? Please tell me the advantages of adding this accessory?
A: The magnetic pole sensor has built-in 3 Hall sensors that match the coils of the moving part (UVW phase).

Using the magnetic pole sensor, the magnetic pole of the linear motor (moving part) can be detected when the table is stopped.
The configuration when using a magnetic pole sensor is as follows.
Restricted workbench by other agencies
External force is applied to the workbench
The center of gravity of the load deviates from the center of the linear motor
2-axis synchronous drive (gate structure)

Q: What is the temperature environment that can be used?
A: It is recommended to use it in an environment with an ambient temperature of 0-40°C and a humidity of 20-80%RH; when used outside this temperature range, the linear motor may not operate normally.

Q: How to choose SSCNETⅢ/H and EtherCAT?
A: Generally, it is fixed by the PLC and controller styles used by customers.
For example, when the PLC is a product of M-itsubishi Electric, select the MRJ4-B type.
When the PLC is manufactured by Omron or Keyence, select A6L.
When SSCNETⅢ/HEtherCAT is not needed, select MRJ4-A type.

Q: Can linear motors be used vertically?
A: When using vertically, you need to consider the mechanism to prevent the moving part from falling. (Customers need to consider design)
Linear motors have no brake mechanism, so when the power is off and the servo is off (including when a failure occurs), the moving part may fall.
Examples of anti-falling mechanisms are usually designed with additional rail clamps and counterweight balancers. Due to the poor quality of the balancer and the moving part, or due to the gas balancer used, a force exceeding the thrust of the linear motor may appear at a certain moving node.
When using it vertically, please fully consider the conditions of use and the weight of the balancer, and design by the customer.

Q: When do you need a regenerative resistor?
A: The regenerative energy generated by the motor during deceleration flows into the regenerative resistor, and the regenerative resistor is used when it is consumed in the form of heat.
Generally, the regenerative energy is absorbed by the smoothing capacitor inside the drive. However, depending on the usage conditions, there are cases where the drive cannot absorb. At this time, add a regenerative resistor and wire the driver to consume unabsorbable regenerative energy.
According to the mounted quality and operating conditions, consider whether it is necessary to add a regenerative resistor. Please refer to the instruction manual of the drive manufacturer for the consideration method
